An "Alternativ" Mixology Class

The definition of mixology is 'the art or skill of preparing mixed drinks'.

At Alternativ, we think that the PERFECT way to ring in the Spring Season is by learning how to master this art. Well… maybe… at least just start with one or two fancy concoctions to impress at our next dinner party. Join us for a professional mixology session, followed by (an optional) Colorado Springs bar crawl so we can compare (and critique) the drink-making skills of our local bartenders!

All proceeds from the class and the crawl will go towards our work to empower our micro-entrepreneur graduates in Uganda and move their businesses forward!

Ignite The Night - Alternativ EOY Holiday Celebration and Fundraiser

Join Alternativ as we celebrate a HUGE 2019 and run towards 2020!

This year has been a defining one for Alternativ Global Entrepreneurs! We've traveled coast to coast after being invited to present our program, research, and results during the United Nation's "63rd Annual Commission on the Status of Women" and Acton Institute's "Foundations for Flourishing" conference. We've celebrated new program launches and brand new groups of entrepreneurs in training in Pakistan, Congo, Ethiopia, and others, and we've watched gleefully as our partner's business incubator and training in Nepal has grown and flourished, connecting their community with business education, social empowerment, networking and marketing opportunities and so much more!

And the icing on the cake... thanks to the help of our UCCS student interns and some amazing Alternativ trainers and international development experts... our Building Entrepreneurial Systems Training (BEST) has gone digital! We can now equip and empower future business trainers and community empowerers, wherever, whenever. In 2020, the Sky's the limit for Alternativ and we want you to come celebrate with us and help make an impact towards our 2020 objectives and vision!

Join us for an international El Salvadorian dinner, drinks, latin dancing, and a raffle with some great prizes!

Join change-makers, entrepreneurs, and influencers as we gather to network and learn from a successful entrepreneur here in the Pikes Peak Region. The topic will be interview style on "How I Built This." We'll learn how to create our own success that also changes the lives of others over a delicious lunch.

There will be a time for networking and getting to know others in our region, in addition to learning about what Alternativ is doing to support entrepreneurs. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door (limited quantity).

May's speaker is Ryan Dekker of ClickFocus and ClikGlobal. We're thrilled to hear how ClikGlobal is creating value for clients while also focusing on social responsibility and impacting the world. Their work contributes both economically and socially in countries that have struggled to support their economy by creating new professional job opportunities! We can't wait to share how you can do it too!

We will also have an amazing raffle featuring prizes from Comedy Works, The Clyfford Still Museum, and dinner for 2, plus more! Get 1 ticket for every $10 donation. (max 10 tickets per person)
